Dr. Moncada dedicates her practice to the evaluation and treatment of head and neck disorders.  She has extensive expertise and experience in the areas of headache, temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain including idiopathic toothache and neuropathic pains, head and neck injuries and sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnea.   As is common with many chronic conditions, there may be multiple underlying conditions with which to contend.  Dr. Moncada is prepared to do a comprehensive evaluation and include other specialists.

 

 

Dr. Moncada completed a post-doctoral program in Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction in conjunction with a Masters in Oral Biology at the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1993.  The goal of her training was to bridge the gap between medicine and dentistry when evaluating and treating head and neck conditions.
